Adilabad is a district blessed with best of the nature. It is located in Sahyadri mountain range and networked with canals and forests. It has total 14 known waterfalls and 6 are listed here. The other falls are hard to reach.
Kuntala Waterfall is situated in the middle of the Sahyadri mountain range near Neredikonda village. Kuntala Falls is the highest waterfall in Telangana state with the height of 200 feet. Kuntala falls formed by Kadem River and cascades down through two steps from a rocky platform. It is one of the famous one day outings and a good weekend getaway from Hyderabad city. There is a motorable road till the entry point of waterfalls from where about 408 steps have to be climbed down to reach the bottom of the falls.
Adilabad waterfalls basecamp is Nirmal town in Adilabad district of Telangana state, India - 504106.
All the waterfalls are few kilometers distance away from NH44 which is from Hyderabad to Adilabad.
Public transport is available on NH44 to the nearest point. Private vehicles can be hired from there.
Monsoon and post-monsoon are the best season & time to visit to any fall because a tourist can experience the beauty of full flow.
There will not be much water in the season other than monsoon.
There is no facility available at waterfalls to stay.
Nirmal & Neredigonda towns are base stations, where budget hotels availble for stay and eat.
There are few food joints available at Kuntala, other than that no food facility available. You pack the lunch and water from near by town (Nirmal or Neredigonda ) if you plan it at the falls.
